Tired of the current trend of “synth” dominated music in the charts, Major Major have taken it upon themselves to revive the dwindling formula of vocals, guitar, bass and drums to prove that music can be big and catchy without the need to fill it out with sounds from the 80s! And although that type of music does have its place, it is not for us!

Conor Clarke, Neil Owen, Louis Cooper and James Knight are an all singing, all chanting musical explosion with a show as lively and exciting as the rock shows of the 60’s and 70’s without the unnecessarily long twiddly nonsense!

Bands are very much tied down to sounding like the last thing at the moment. When you get down to it, Major Major are music lovers and have no shame or need to leave out any of our influences. We like Hip Hop, we like rock, Conor even likes musicals! We go with what feels right and sounds great in our music; big harmonies, catchy melodies, a driving rhythm section and lyrics that have meaning and great subject matter, culminating in our unique brand of Extrovert Pop. Yes it’s pop, not such a dirty word to us, and when we play we like to show how much fun we are having instead of being dormant behind our instruments.
